Annah Whitfield, Creator of *AnnaH Couture*Annah Whitfield is a relatively new designer on Second Life, only having been rezzed in-world for eight months. Every time I have ever teleported into the *AnnaH Couture* store, she was always there with a friendly face and an interest to discuss her passion for fashion. Since I’ve been watching her fashion line, I’ve been delighted to see her growing as a designer with each new release. You can see especially see the skills she is crafting in the texturing of her latest releases.

Main Store Location in SednaI had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Annah and get to know her a little better and find out what is in store for the AnnaH Couture line…
BoRee: Okay Annah when did you first come into Second Life and how far into the game did you realize you wanted to become a designer?
Annah: About 8 months ago, a friend introduced me to Second Life! I saw all of the beautiful things inside the game, with his avie, and I decided that I had to have a Second Life too. I didn’t think about being a designer, I just wanted to design my own clothes but a close friend told me that I should sell my stuff. I started by having a small corner in his store.
BoRee: You’ve recently partnered up with Myllie Writer of Persona to form ANIMAH, branching out into poses. How did you and Myllie join forces?
Annah: Yes, we met each other in the fashion show case New Shoots, organized by Alaska Metropolitan, owner of Metro Models. The show was for designers younger than 4 months! After that, we (Myllie) are close friends and when she started doing poses, she told me to try! I did, and we decided that we should open a store! It’s been great since then and we are the best friends ever :)
BoRee: You’ve made a lot of progress in the short time that you’ve been designing. What are your future plans with your AnnaH Couture line?
Annah: I am never completely satisfied with my work, so my plans are to do more and better! I love doing dresses, especially formal dresses! But I like to do casual clothing once in awhile so I don’t have any idea what’s coming up! I know I want to start doing men’s clothes and I have been studying and researching to start working with that!
BoRee: Oh wow men’s clothes! I know a lot of guys out there who are dying for more men’s fashion options! From your collection, what is your favorite piece that you’ve created so far and why?
Annah: I can’t choose only one! I absolutely love Gillian because of the contrast of yellow and black and I feel like a lady in it. I adore Carrie because it’s funky and funny but I don’t sell it as much! I love my last dresses which are my best work ever. Also both of the limited editions I have made to the fundraiser Shine are in my heart!
BoRee: I saw that you participated in the Shine fundraiser which is so awesome! Why did you get involved with such a good cause?
Annah: If you can do something to help, then we really should do it. I felt the obligation to help others! I wish I could organize something like Alaska did, to help some organizations in Portugal and I am planning on trying one day!
BoRee: Now that it is the New Year, what are you looking forward to the most in Second life in 2008?
Annah: My expectations for the New Year are definitely to redecorate my store! I am trying to start, but I don’t even know where to begin! I am also going to run a sale maybe next month so I can take all of the old items down and have more new stuff up! But I don’t like to do New Year’s resolutions cuz I never do what I want lol.
